As a product engineer, this project was approached with the objective of creating a whole new family of sphere luminaires. The spots of the LECA family being small and inconspicuous have nothing to do with shyness. The goal was to create a range of luminaires that would effortlessly make even tiny or winding spaces shine, without taking up much space and in endless directions.

As a product engineer, this project was approached with the objective of creating a whole new family of sphere luminaires. The spots of the LECA family being small and inconspicuous have nothing to do with shyness. The goal was to create a range of luminaires that would effortlessly make even tiny or winding spaces shine, without taking up much space and in endless directions.
Starting with such an extensive brief as creating a surface round spot family leed to a complete design process of possible formal designs, 3D models and electronic developments. With the resulting mokups and final prototypes, the product was finally presented at
Light + Building and awarded with the Red Dot Design Award in 2024.
After designing the LECA surface family with such a modular solution, it was a must to develope a recessed fixture with a very low cost impact, perfect for contract projects.
